Resort:  Alaior

The origins of this ancient town go back to 1304. It has typical narrow streets and interesting architecture.  In  particular, in the old quarter, there is the Church of Santa Eulalia (Baroque in style) and the 17th centurry Church of San Diego with a fascinating old cloister known as the 'Pati de Sa Lluna' (patio of the moon). In the nearby countryside is the pre-historic  archaeological site Torre d'en Gaumes.

There is a good selection of local shops and produce. On the outskirts of the town, towards Mahon,  a small industrial estate (poligono inudstrial) offers additional facilities including a large supermarket.
